Since 2014, Yealink (News – Alert) has served as the world’s No. 2 SIP phone provider, but today the firm has branched out into unified communications. With a focus on providing high-quality products for the SMB/SME market at a reasonable price, the IP Phone (News – Alert) maker is poised to build on its expertise and ride its innovation far into the future.
2016 is still young, but Yealink is certainly causing a racket in the UC space. TMC CEO Rich Tehrani had the opportunity to sit down with Yealink’s Harvey Shang (News – Alert) at the recent ITEXPO to discuss UC, Yealink and what 2016 could have in store.
Shang illustrated that Yealink was founded by a “Group of ambitious engineers that started the company with an aim to offer the quality products that are cost-friendly.” He continued to explain that unlike other Chinese brands, perfection and performance are always the goal. Shang highlighted that Yealink has a rich ecosystem of partners, “We aim to grow together” through the teamwork and level of innovation taking place at the IP phone provider.
Touting plug and play functionality the feature rich Yealink product portfolio places its SIP phones as the core, but over the last calendar year has ventured into audio and video conferencing as well. Shang explained that customers expect a high level of quality in their meeting solution, and according to reviews Yealink has met the mark.
“When people mention Yealink now, most of our partners and customers may refer to the quality, the good service and the price point…they say ‘Hey, that’s a good brand.’” Shang is confident that 2016 will serve as a banner year for Yealink. It is certainly hard to argue his position; the firm is taking UC by storm.
