Four Things You May Not Know About Yealink CP860

You’d be hard-pressed to find any company today—from the one-man entrepreneur to the largest of enterprises—that is not leveraging some sort of conference phone system. That’s because today’s businesses understand the importance of crystal-clear voice quality and multi-party phone calls to succeed in today’s competitive landscape.

Not all conference phones are created equal, however, meaning some are plagued with problems such as jitter, latency and buffering. Here at Yealink, we understand how important stellar call quality is to your business. That’s why our first-ever IP conference phone—the CP860—is designed with diamond-clear voice conversations in mind.

Released in March of this year, the CP860 is tailored for small- to medium-sized meeting rooms. Here are four things you should know about our latest innovation:

1. It Boasts Voice Quality and Clarity: In today’s money-strapped business environment, any time you can close a deal on the phone instead of in person is a win for your company financially. After all, corporate travel is costly; just two years ago, the U.S. spent about $273.3 billion on the road. But you can only replace in-person meetings with conference calls if your technology is characterized by clear communication. The last thing you can afford is for a deal to go south because your prospect receives a jumbled, muffled sales pitch from you. The CP860 relies on HD voice technology and three built-in microphone matrixes to guarantee 360-degree sound pickup. Moreover, because it leverages best-of-breed technology, like full duplex, auto-echo cancellation and reverb elimination, your calls will have the clarity that you enjoy during in-person conversations.
2. It Has a Unified Communications Focus: Here at Yealink, we know you are always looking to tap into the advantages afforded by unified communications. As such, we designed the CP860 to support call linkage with PC or mobile softphones (like Skype, Lync/Skype for Business and Bria, among others), so that our users can enjoy a unified communications experience no matter the device they use. Further, our phone supports five-person conferencing calling, so you can include multiple parties on the line.
3. It Includes Recording Capabilities: Let’s say you missed that important call between your sales rep and a prospective client. All you know is that the deal fell through but you don’t know why. Your rep tells you the client bowed out because of price but you suspect your sales rep didn’t answer questions effectively enough. With the CP860, you can leverage our call recording capabilities to get to the truth. Doing so will enable you to identify areas of strength and areas needing improvement for your team members and will also allow you to run customer service spot checks when needed.
4. It Accounts for Your Security: Let’s face it … security is everything in the business world. With malicious cybercriminals out there, all facets of your business have to be safeguarded, including your phone system. In fact, in 2013, small businesses lost about $4.73 billion globally from hackers infiltrating their phone system. Understanding this, we designed the CP860 with security in mind. We follow a long list of security and network protocols. Our phone is equipped with: SIP server redundancy support, time and date synchronization using SNTP, and SRTP for voice encryption, among other things.

As our Executive Vice President Stone Lu succinctly summed up our latest release, “By adding the new CP860, Yealink is further expanding its product portfolio. Yealink will continue to incorporate its vision and experience into an innovative IP communication terminal, which our clients find are a boost to productivity and a pleasure to use.”
